Hocking Hills State Park features six major areas - Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle's Hollow, Cedar Falls and Cantwell Cliffs. Each of the park areas offers a unique experience for those who walk its paths. From hemlock-lined trails, to huge rock formations, waterfalls to rock bridges, guests to the park are sure to treasure their explorations for years to come. Rich in forested areas and natural wonders, there are over 25 miles of hiking trails in the Hocking Hills State Park system.
There is a full time naturalist all year around with park programs during the day and special events throughout the year. Major events included: Winter Hike, Maple Syrup Festival, Hike through History, Haunted Hocking, Christmas at Ash Cave and more. Ohio State Park Naturalist, Patrick Quackenbush, offers such daily programs as tours through Old Man's Cave, Hawks and Owls of the region (there is a raptor center at the park) and historical interpretation.
