Lake
Logan State Park-The park is located just outside Logan, Ohio. Much of the
land around the lake is privately owned. However there is some access for
the beach, fishing area and picnicking. Boat motor is limited to 10 hp.

Originally
known as Hocking Lake, it was renamed Lake Logan to reflect the Native
American heritage of the area and to avoid confusion with nearby Hocking
Hills State Park.
Picnic areas abound within Lake Logan. The picnic areas
on the northwest and south shores of the lake have boat tie-ups for
fishermen. Fires are permitted in grills only.
Across Lake Logan Road from the beach, the one-mile Pine
Vista Hiking Trail circles a hilltop. A section of the Buckeye Trail runs
through the northwest end of the park toward Hocking Hills State Forest.
There is a nesting pair of swans across from the Georgian
Manner Inn and eagles are known to visit the park yearly.

The Hocking Hills Region is located in the Midwest US
settled into the edges of Appalachia's Southeastern Ohio.
It is known for its wilderness areas, unique rock formations, cascading
waterfalls, breathtaking cliff edges and the many cabins and cottages
tucked into its hillsides to escape the everyday. It encompasses such natural areas as Lake Hope State Park, Wayne
National Forest, Zaleski State Forest, Hocking State Forest and a few
Columbus Metroparks. One of the largest visited park systems in Ohio is Hocking Hills State Park
located within this region. There are over 25 miles of hiking trails
including those at Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls and Ash Cave.
